Now go to Image – > Mode – > Lab color

Click on the Channels tab in Layers menu, Click on Lightness. Choose Burn tool with options: shadows and exposure something between 15-20%

Now you need to make shadows darker but not too much. Paint there where you see shadows.

Now choose Dodge tool. Set here Highlights and exposure something about 15%.

Now do the same as with Burn tool but now focus on highlights. Bring on light areas more light.Turn on normal mode. Now you can see the change:

    Firstly capttiong photos of baby is a very difficult job. Secondly editting them is another one. Thats a very nice and effective retouch tutorial you have shared with us.
