This Photoshop tutorial will help you to achieve very interesting effect which you can use not only on face but you can start up your imagination and bring something new into this photo manipulation. Everything depends on you, tutorial will help you understand a few basic steps how to get the final result. So let’s begin.

I will use Splatter brush set in this tutorial. You can download it from Deviantart.com. Link is here: http://www.deviantart.com/art/Hi-Res-Splatter-PS-Brush-Set-163129947

First step is to Create new document (File->New). After that Create new layer and delete locked layer. Fill new created layer with black color using Paint Bucket tool.

Open your face picture now. With Magnetic Lasso tool start with face selecting.
Note that you do not need to be very precise as you can see on picture below.

When you are done with selecting press Ctrl+j to cut out face from the picture then
Select Move tool and drag the face to created new document so it will looks like on picture below.

How to create cracked hole in chest in Photoshop CS6

Another one tutorial from creative tutorials. In this tutorial we will learn how to create hole in models chest and fill empty space between models fingers with this cracked piece.

You will also learn how to make 3D effect in hole, how to add some texture and shadows.

brushes (more info about Basic painting tools)

selecting (more info about Selecting tools)

Again a few shortcut tips:

For faster zoom in/out you can use shortcut: ctrl+alt+mouse wheel

To change your Brush tool size use shortcut: ctrl+alt+right mouse button and then move with your mouse to the left if you want smaller brush, to right for bigger brush.

To change your Brush tool hardness use shortcut: ctrl+alt+right mouse button and then move with your mouse up if you want decrease brush hardness, down to increase hardness
